Young In's 'Red Dot' is a single whose subject is the spreading of emotion that starts from a small trace. Studio NOL handled mixing and mastering for this project, taking on the role of organizing overall sound density and spatial depth based on the arrangement and recording data completed by the artist.

The first thing we examined in the delivered tracks was the vocal's presence. Since the original recording tone already had a good grain, we organized EQ interference with other instruments without major modification, preserving mid-range warmth. Small breaths and lip movements were left nearly intact to maintain intimate proximity. Instrument sources had their high-pass and mid-range EQ finely adjusted so each one's frequency role would become distinct.

For spatial processing, a short plate was applied to vocals at low ratio, while background instruments got medium-length halls to separate perspective. We created the impression that vocal and instruments inhabit the same space but the vocal stands one step forward. Mastering met streaming platform loudness standards without excessively compressing dynamics.

The finished track delivers lyric and breath detail most effectively in earphone listening environments. A single with texture worth repeat listening in quiet moments.
