Tierliner's 'Bite Me' is a pop single layering self-awareness and sharpened emotion beneath a sweet melody. Sitting on the border between synth-pop and R&B, the tightly-voiced vocal and lightly-bouncing beat define the track's overall impression, so from the recording stage the primary concern was how to separate and preserve the presence of these two elements.

Vocal recording started with Neumann TLM 103 to secure thickness in the mid-range, then split the whispered sections and impact-driven hook into separate takes. Rather than pushing the emotion too hard, we opted for a natural, conversational delivery — preserving small details like breath and lip movement to build intimacy. Ad-lib lines were stacked on separate tracks and spread thinly across the stereo field.

During mixing, rhythm sources were arranged to leave the vocal mid-range uncluttered, and the kick and bass low-end was kept tight without excessive bloat. Reverb layered a short plate with a 1/8 delay to keep the song's BPM intact, and mastering matched streaming loudness standards while avoiding heavy dynamic compression.

The finished track aims for a balance where lyric nuance comes through on earphones and the hook stays clear even on small Bluetooth speakers. A single well-suited to solo listening environments like a morning commute or a walk.
