Semin's 'Tender Leaves' occupies the position of a singer-songwriter's first album — a work that, as the title implies, captures emotions that have just begun to sprout. The arrangement was designed so each track within an acoustic-forward folk frame carries a different texture while a restrained, unifying sound color runs through the whole album.

For this project, Studio NOL handled planning, mixing, and mastering. After receiving the recording data, we processed per-track editing and tone balancing, and reconfigured the album's overall flow. Vocals preserved breath and breathing timing intact as much as possible, while instrument sources had their spatial depth organized within the range that wouldn't damage each track's genre nuances.

Mixing treated album flow as the most important standard. Early tracks carried close, intimate texture; mid-album opened into slightly wider spatial feel; later tracks converged back to warm proximity — reverb and EQ directions were designed accordingly. Loudness differences between tracks were finely matched in mastering so continuous streaming playback wouldn't feel uneven.

The finished album reveals its emotional arc best when listened to from beginning to end at once. A work that pairs well with solo evening earphone listening or background playback during creative work.
