Namjae's 'The Character Experienced X and Gained Enlightenment' is a concept album where the entire album is designed as one narrative. The album title itself means 'a specific character's process of gaining enlightenment through experience,' with each track musically expressing a specific stage of this narrative. The most distinctive feature is that all tracks share the same sonic identity.

During arrangement, while each track's genre (indie rock, electronic, folk) differed, the same sound color (especially warm analog synthesizer frequency) was maintained by using Prophet-6 and Moog synthesizers as common instruments across all tracks. Recording took place over 3 nights and 4 days at Studio NOL, applying a hybrid method of recording live band performance on analog tape and reprocessing in a digital workstation.

During mixing and mastering, the album's narrative arc was considered — the first track has a vivid, direct sound; middle tracks gradually add spatial depth; and the final track concludes the narrative through lingering resonance and deconstruction.
