Kim In's 'A Person Who Went to See the Stars' is a folk-leaning single depicting someone who set out to find light in the dark, exactly as the title suggests. Rather than exaggerated arrangement, we centered the meeting of the artist's voice with acoustic instruments, and from the planning stage we calibrated sound density against the reference image of 'a song sung alone under starlight.'

The arrangement was kept simple — acoustic guitar, string-pad elements, and minimal percussion. Vocals were captured cleanly with Neumann TLM 103, with direction focused on lyrical meaning over vocal projection. In long-breath sections we left the breath intact to add intimacy, and harmonies were layered only once, thinly, so the main melody would not be obscured.

In mixing, we placed the vocal center-forward and spread the guitar moderately left and right to create spatial openness without excessive reverb. Instead, a long-tailed plate was mixed in at very low levels to secure a faint afterglow like scattered stars. Mastering did not push loudness hard, so dynamics in quiet environments would come through directly.

The finished track suits late-night earphone listening or a driving playlist. A single that aligns well with moments of wanting to feel the temperature of the lyrics up close.
