Heo Jeong-hyuk's 'A Bit of Wind' is a song that attempts a new sound at the boundary between Trot and Pop. The core challenge was creating a pop melody without compromising the powerful expression of trot vocals. During recording, we captured Heo's powerful vocals using two microphone sessions — Shure SM7B and Neumann U87.

In mixing, it was important to preserve the dynamic range of trot vocals while adding clarity that meets modern pop listeners' expectations. Light compression (4:1 ratio, slow attack) was applied to vocals to maintain natural dynamics from live performances while improving convenience for streaming platforms.

From a promotion standpoint, we executed a crossover marketing strategy that optimized Bugs Music algorithm tags while appealing to both trot fans and indie pop fans. This track became an important bridge work leading to Heo's subsequent full album release.
