Hee Woo's 'You Are' is a single continuous in feel with 'Forgetting' — this time not addressing someone departed, but someone standing face to face. The arrangement chose a calm mid-tempo folk-pop direction, regulating the density of surrounding instruments so the artist's characteristic quiet tone wouldn't stray from center.

Recording concentrated on pulling multiple vocal takes intensively. Rather than completing a declaration in a single take, we stacked takes where emotion shifts slightly across each verse, combining them through editing. Acoustic guitar was captured up close with two microphones so the picking sound would come through clearly, and a simple thin string source was added in the second half to enrich the arrangement.

In mixing, the balance between preserving vocal breath and guitar string friction while tidying unwanted noise was the key. EQ scooped lightly around 1kHz so the vocal mid-range wouldn't be buried, and reverb used short plate as the baseline while slightly lengthening tail in the chorus to widen space naturally. Mastering finished with conservative settings so dynamics wouldn't compress excessively.

The finished track pairs well with solo playlists. A single suited to being played at low volume in a quiet living room or studio.
