"Haran (夏蘭, Eternal Summer Spark)," a single by Korean indie singer-songwriter Namjae (CHILD B), was released on August 29, 2024. Written, composed, and arranged entirely by the artist himself, the track evokes the intense, fragrant heat of love through the metaphor of a summer-blooming orchid. The release was produced in cooperation with the Korea Smart Cooperative, and a music video was unveiled on the same day.
Namjae is a solo artist from the Jeolla region who openly identifies as a queer artist, weaving themes of identity and love into his work. His sonic palette, often cited as influenced by Rhye and The Flaming Lips, carries through this dreamlike yet upbeat summer-night track. Studio NOL, operated under the Korea Smart Cooperative, was involved in the production.
